Why do I go blind when I get up too fast?

For the past couple of years every time I get up to quickly I first feel a bit dizzy and then sometimes, most of the time, lose my sight for an average of 3 to 5 seconds. One time I went fully blind for 10 whole seconds. Does this happen to anyone else? Can anyone explain why this might happen, I went to an eye doctor and my eyes are fine and my regular doctor's best explanation was that I have a lower amount of blood in my body than most. Any answers are appreciated.

The same things been happening to me for about a year and a half. sometimes it feels like its frying my brain too. I think it might be neurological, and blood pressure related. everything turns white after a bunch of little splotches appear, and Its extremely hard to concentrate. The first time it happened it scared me pretty bad. It hasn't ever happened for more than 4 or 5 seconds though, and I don't get dizzy any more, I just get an intense head rush... Let me know if you find out about any causes, and I'll do the same, because I'm very curious.
