Shotrate Gun Accessories

Only focus on the picatinny base (I believe thats what its called)
It came attached to my gun.

My problem: to put it simply, i can't get it on. Now im assuming that its just a foolish mistake on my part with the compatibility of mount, scope, etc. I am a 100% newbie when it comes to this stuff.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out.

It does seem identical except for the two screws and im guessing thats what i need. Something like this: http://battlefieldpb.com/catalog/images/scopeRings.gif
The one i have isnt even a half an inch long before opened.
