Best laser for my glock 22?

I have looked around at a number of lasers with or without a tactical light and I just dont know which one to buy. I dont really want to spend over $200 bucks for the laser, but to get a quality one do I have to spend over half the price of the gun? Lasermax, Crimson Trace, Streamlight TLR2, or the GTL are just a few ive noticed. Any ideas or sugestions would be great, because I know nothing about handgun lasers. Thanks!

I have the M6x. Its made by Insight Technologies. 125 lumens, off, light only, laser only, both laser and light modes. It has a convenient ambidextrous "rocker plate" switch that offers both momentary and constant on selections.

I fired it at a blacked out range at 50; was very pleased. It will be listed at 300+ everywhere except opticsplanet.net. Its $239 there, w/free shipping.

Get the M6, and you'll be even closer to your $200 goal, around $219. Same features, but only 90 lumens. My rangemaster has one and is quite pleased with it from what I can tell.

This is a good solution for a combination light laser. If you are focused on a laser only, having a flashlight might help anyway, and the rocker plate feature is going to be nice too. So you shouldn't be turned off from cheaper Insight lights like the X2. But I can't vouch for any of those.

Please note that since the laser is far from the barrel (under the light) the point of aim will either above or below the point of impact as you skip from defensive shooting distances (~7 yards) to longer shots (50 - 75 feet). In practice, however, for defensive shooting a half-an-inch off vertically doesn't mean much so just adjust the laser to your usual aimed fire distance. Mine is just a tad above the POA of the Iron sights at 50ft, that way I can just barely see the laser over the front sight making it quick and easy to transition from iron Sight Aiming to focusing on the laser.
