Photos in Bars without tripods?

Is this possible with film, NOT Digital? How so?
Especially if the bars have a lot of lights that are constantly flashing and lasers, etc. Does this depend on the ISO?

Yes, it is possible, and it doesn't matter if it is digital or film...the only downside of film is that you cannot immediately review your work.
If you use a medium to high ISO with a long shutter speed, expect a good mood shot...it won't be sturdy esp. if people are moving around (they might even be blurry) and you might get a lot of 'grain'...but all this will contribute to mood.
If you want a clear subject and a colorful background, you will need to try some of the camera's special flash settings (2nd curtain). Here, the flash will capture the subject, but then leave the shutter open a little longer to let the background saturate in...expect the background to be blurry if there is a lot going on. This is probably the only scenario where you will want to introduce a flash.
Other than that, hold your camera steady or place it on a sturdy surface and experiment. You can also try the shutter priority at 1/60 or slower.
