How To Sight In A Tactical Scope?
Only seasoned, educated shooters answer this please. I don't need any armchair warriors who know less than I do giving me useless information. Anyways-
How do I properly sight in a tactical scope? Because of the fact that it has adjustable elevation/windage turrets, how do I properly zero the rifle and keep those turrets on their "0" settings? Are these turrets removable? I don't have the scope in my possession right now or I would check that myself.
I realize this process may be the same as any other scope but I just want to make sure. I just had a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 tactical scope mounted on my rifle. Thanks!
A scope is a scope? That's ridiculous. I told you I didn't want stupid answers. You must sight the scope in first and find your "zero" at 100 yds, 200 yds, whichever you choose. You then should reset the turrets to 0 (unlike hunting scopes) in order to use them properly, and I want to know how to do that for this scope. No more idiots- please.
If it is like the nikons with the tactical turrets, you just sight it in normal. After that has been done, you loosen the screw in top of the turret, readjust to the "0", then tighten. Other turrets i have seen lift off, and then can be slid back on in a different position to make them in the "0" position
