sd14 users....what lenses are your favorite (quality wise) and why?

I just got my sd14 with the 18-50 kit lens and I want to upgrade my lens and with all the different reviews out there thought I would solicit the opinion of actual sd14 users out there. The use of my camera is going to vary but I am getting more studio exposure so would like something that will be able to capture good full body portraits with sharp focus and contrast. was looking at 50mm 2.8 and the 70mm2.8 and the 70mm gets better reviews as far as the optics go (because of the sld coated elements) but I'm affraid that with an apparent FOV similar to 119mm (my understanding is that the sd14 has a factor of 1.7) that it would be to close for comfort and that the 50mm with the FOV similar to 85mm would give more wiggle room but the elements aren't quite as nice according to the reviews. I'm just scared to make an investment and not be happy with what I got. I was even looking at the optical stabilized lense 18mm-200mm because I have minor shakes but it's F3.5-6.3.........help
