Colt first and foremost. It's the original and the best.
Noveske, expensive but worth it.
Les Baer, the custom 1911 maker, makes AR's that are nothing less than stunning.
Del-Ton, as they base every spec on the originals.
Armalite, decades of AR production experience.
Bushmaster has an impressive reputation.

While there are a few points Stag could improve upon, they are minor and for a sporting user, a complete non-issue. You won't be disappointed with it.
